Memorial Weekend, where did it go? We decided to take a few days off around the holiday to hang out as a family, do some fun activities with the neighbors and let the kids have a good time with both mom and dad being home! On Friday I took the kids to Lake George with some of the other neighborhood mom's and their kids. Breyden is a fish, something I have known but man does he love the water for 4 solid hours that kid barely came out of the water except to devour some food and go right back in. Syd is still a little leary of the whole cold water thing...she loves her baths...just not cold, dirty lake water....can't say I blame her!
Here is Breyden playing the water
Saturday we went out on our neighbors boat with him for some tubing and swimming...Breyden had a blast and was out there for almost 6 hrs and even jumped to another neighbors boat to go swimming while we did more tubing. Syd was happy when the boat was moving at 55 mph in water, but not too much of a happy camper for down time. All in all it was a great day!
Sunday we had a great time with the neighbors at a BBQ, Monday we spent the afternoon with more neighbors watching the kids play in their giant blow up waterslide/pool thing...needless to say Breyden was extremely tired that night!!! Tuesday our last day off we took the kids to como zoo. It was a short trip, but fun nonetheless. Breyden enjoyed seeing the animals as well as going on the rides. This was Syd first trip to the zoo and had a great time seeing all the new animals!!
Syd loves the animals, she would get a great big smile on her face and ooh at them every time she saw one!
This was the first year that Breyden was actually able to tell us what each one was (probably would have happened last year, but unfortunately we did not make it to the zoo)
My two kids!
As I said before where did this time go...As I look at these photos and I see my little man who is not so little anymore...and look at my baby girl...who is turning into a toddler more and more each and every day. Memorial weekend was a good time for us to reconnect as a family. Get away from the stresses of life which include work, and just have a great time not worrying about anything. And I have to say we succeeded in all of it!
