Well Im going to do a recap here of the past two months with the kids (better now than never right??) I will try to keep up with the blog more!!
In September we took the kids to an Apple Orchard in Lindstom. They had a blast....from checking out the animals...enjoying the nummy homemade treats (80 dollars later....and I thought this would be a cheap outting)...they played in the hay and corn pile...and we all got to go on a hay ride...and then picked out pumpkins for the kids!!! It was a great day and we will be doing it again next year!!
So this year I made the decision to paint our pumpkins instead of craving them....we this because we had two very large pumpkins from the apple orchard and one of them was a "Cinderella" type pumpkin and it really could not be craved and second I was trying to keep from having the gut them....not a fan....but the kids really liked being able to paint them...and strangely enough it was reasonable (seasonable) day here in MN that we could do it outside....we decided to make them into M&M's
Oh Halloween where to start (where to start).....My little lady decided that day she was not going to take a nap....perfect day to do this....we werent going to be super busy ....getting into costumes (one that weve already had issues with her on) and be going outside for trick or treating...having a later than normal bed time...and have grandparents in our house....she picked the perfect day to be in a very crabby mood....but after bribing she decided to wear the clothes for the costume, the shoes I got her, and the lady bug ears....nothing else (no cute wings or tutu....oh well....not worth the battle and tears...on both our parts).....we also did the same thing as we did last year....hook our trailer up with hay bails to our neighbors riding lawn mower and get hauled around....perfect way to trick or treat!!!!
Over all the kids had a blast...i was shocked how far Syd actually made it....she only quit about 30 minutes before the rest of us came home....and I was shocked by Breyden....he hasnt made it extremely far yet with trick or treating either....more each year....but this year he was really into it...and wanted to keep going every after the 3 older girls called it quits!!! So glad that he had a ton of fun this year!!!
I still cant believe that its November and that two plus months of school has already passed....each week is a craziness of juggling which days Breyden goes to school (he goes every other day....so its not easy to keep track of)...Syd has ECFE, they both have an activity each (Breyden = Karate, Syd = Dance), me working somewhere inbetween all that....and finally find time to be a family...this explains why its gone by so quickly!!!
And I cant believe that Thanksgiving is next week!!! And that we are almost all done with Christmas shopping for our kids...this year I am not leaving it til the last minute....with the way life has been going...if I dont do it now...it probably wont get done in time!!!
To the Joys of Life with a family!
