So today was the first day back for the hubs and I....meaning back at work....and in the new location....after playing catch up most of the day....it went well for me for the most part....the kids are still settling in....they are still really tired from last week's activities and this weekend's activities too....which was mostly riding in a car saturday to numerous locations....not real fun for anyone involved!....but the hubs and I were both able to get in a workout this morning....yes you heard me right about the hubs....he is back in the saddle...more due to the fact that he was selected in the lottery for the TC 10 mile in October....you can wing a 5K, maybe even a 10K....but a 10 mile you need to train for....or hell atleast get in shape for....so he has 10 weeks....and he started this morning....work was fine....nothing to eventful....and I was able to take the kids swimming to the pool for a couple hours....they love the pool and its a good way to burn off energy....but the awesome thing about today was it took Andrew only 17 minutes to get to work this morning....yes 17 whole minutes versus's the usual 90-120 it has been.....so he was home this morning and was able to get the kids up atleast....and not sure what time he will be leaving work tonight....but I am assuming it will take about the same amount of time to get home....so he may actually get a hot meal....not a re-heated hot meal....
I am glad today has been uneventful....its what we needed to get back into the swing of things and routine of normal life....or should we call it the new normal life which will include pool trips probably daily weather depending!!
