Mini 4th of July Vacation

So last week we were able to take a couple days off after the 4th of July (originally we were going to take the week, but with the move two weeks after it....we switched things around)....but it was nice to be off and just do a few family things!

On the 4th we decided to go to a friends house that we have done in the past and hang out there for a couple hours with the kids....its a long haul for us in our current location, but next year it will only be a 20 minute drive!....we had alot of fun....the kids got to play and have lots of adults fawn over them....we came home and Andrew and I watched the good 'ole Isanti neighborhood fireworks from our driveway...which were pretty calm compared to previous years....the only thing I am not a fan of is for 5 days straight some people who need to find something better to do at 2am in the morning besides shooting off fireworks for over an hr each night....gonna say very thankful we are moving into the cities and getting away from that!  Overall it was a good 4th!

Thursday we went to Bunker Beach with the kids...it was a super hot day....but it was fun...Breyden did a couple slides....but for the most part we did the wave pool and the kiddie area...since they have height restrictions for kids....we were there for about 4 hrs....until Syd went from having a good time....to full on meltdown!  once that kicked we were out!

The rest of the weekend was spent in our yard....playing in the sprinkler....lounging in chairs....and packing a couple hours each morning....overall great time!  We had fun just taking a break from work and chilling out with the kids and each other!!!
