This past thanksgiving is so different than previous ones....our security has been removed from us....the future is no longer seen in weeks or months....I can only handle looking forward a few days at a time....because looking ahead right now is not an option....I have no idea how things are going to pan out....I do not know when Andrew will get a job...or where....but I do know right now our bills are currently paid....we have food in the fridge....gas in one of the cars.....and that is enough for us in this moment....
Even with all the events that have happened in literally 10 days....we still have so much to be thankful for....I am thankful for all the friends who have offered leads to Andrew....or given him recommendations....anything helps....its not always about what type of degree/certification you may have....sometimes it all in who you know....I am thankful for my parents for stepping in and helping us conquer and prepare for some of the uncertainty that is coming....I am thankful for the much needed down time we had this weekend....I am thankful that we were able to get our tree, put it up and enjoy it with the kids....I am thankful for all our friends who are offering their support and kind words...I am thankful an evening spent with friends who are more like family!
So this thanksgiving may not have been like previous ones....but that's ok....I have no idea what the future may hold....I know right now we have enough and I can accept that!
