Spring Break

This past week has been spring break for the kids....both of them....and it didnt even cross my mind to take any PTO for it (not like I have enough in the bank to do it anyway....damn surgery and upcoming move).....but I figured it wouldn't be overly crazy at work.....and maybe I'd get to sleep in a couple days (past 630am) with the kids.....yea neither of those things have happened....the kids have slept in shocking I know.....but not me....I can not wait for the day that we no longer share walls....and work has been anything but not crazy this week......and one thing with spring break being so early in March the weather is still real shitty yes shitty outside.....so we have been cooped up....they kids have been playing together reasonably nice....and Sydneys new favorite toy are the empty boxes.....note to self next Christmas and birthday go with an empty box much cheaper and seems to provide hours of endless fun......

This past week hasnt been bad overall....but would have rather had time with the kids when they were not in school or activities to hang out and do some fun things....and not have to worry about work for 8 hrs a day....and the fact that none of us want to go outside in the yuck weather.....makes it hard....another note to self any time the kids have breaks in the winter months plan ahead and take PTO....it will be well worth the sanity for me and hopefully we will have some fun times in there as well!
