Back to School shopping is upon us

I can't believe its August already....and that its time to start thinking about back to school....the summer has gone by way too quickly....I have enjoyed it....and so have the kids....I wished we could have done a few more fun things, but that's life unfortunately.....it will get in the way of fun things.....for the most part we have had a quiet summer....and I think that is what we needed most as a family.....but I am also ready for the routine to kick back in.....and for Breyden to meet some more kids his age to play with.....I am looking forward to activities again with the kids....since we mostly took a break from those this summer


When August came knocking on the door.....so did unseasonably cool weather....wth?!.....besides the weather school supply ads and displays are in full force everywhere you go....yesterday while we at Target I got Breyden's list....and I completely blanked and was looking at the first grader lists....that's when it truly hit me....in a few short weeks I am going to have a second grader!!!  Where did the time go?!

With school supply shopping also comes clothes shopping....thankfully Breyden has not hit a major growth spurt....so I am mostly set for him.....the only thing that has grown is his feet....sadly enough we are in the same size....my midget feet are the same size as my 7 year.....not the one I want to share shoes with.....hopefully Syd will be blessed with midget feet and we can share!!!  Syd on the other hand will need more clothes.....she is 90% out of 4T and is in the awful size of being between 5T (which I won't buy) and XS or S girls...I am thankful we were able to get some clothes from a friend....but alas she will still need a few more staples...and I am thankful she is a girlie girl and is willing to come with and try on clothes....so I am not buying her stuff that she drowns in!

Its crazy that its the end of summer is near.....even though part of me is ready for the routine of school life the other part is not ready to give up the somewhat freedom that we have.....and I am not looking forward to winter....last years was too damn long......here's to the last couple weeks of summer....hopefully it will warm up again that we can go swimming!
