Family Vacation to Duluth, MN

This year our family was fortunate enough to be able to take a much needed short family vacation to Duluth, MN for the weekend before all the craziness of school and activities begin this fall.  We stayed at the Edge Waterpark Hotel.  As you can read it had a waterpark within the hotel.  It was an awesome waterpark with all the amenities that our family needed.  Our room was nice as well...had enough room for us 4 and Jack (yes we brought Jack...the hotel was completely pet friendly and didnt charge an arm and leg for him to be with us...so we brought him with instead of finding someone to take care of him...and he did awesome!)...we had a view a Lake Superior from our room...we also had access to a bridge that walked over 35 that took us to a trail to the shore of Lake Superior...it was so beautiful...we took this walk early Saturday morning with the kids and Jack and got some really great shots!!!  We also skipped a few rocks with Breyden!!!

On Saturday after we took a swim in the pool and a family style nap...we headed to Canal Park in Duluth...we ate a grandma's (awesome food) and then got to see a fire truck (Breyden was in heaven)...and put our toes in the chilly water....we also watched a boat come into the habor....both kids thought that was pretty cool as well!

 

 On Sunday we took one more round at the waterpark and then drove home....it was a great time...one that Andrew and I decided our first night there we will be repeating this trek yearly.  Duluth has a lot to offer that we did not get to see...it was beautiful and relaxing...and the drive is not that bad either!!!  I am so thankful that we made the time to get these great memories with our family!
