Sunday Fun!

This past Sunday we finally went tubing....we have been taking about it for forever and planning to do it forever....so we just did it...we decided to go to Eko Backen in Scandia for a couple reasons....one its reasonably priced and two they have a "family" hill which allows Syd to go....the weather Sunday was interesting to say the least....misty/icy even though it was only 23 degrees outside....oh well...it was still fun....We all went down the "family" hill for a bit...Syd had to walk up it each time....as neither Andrew or I were daring enough to attempt the tow ropes with her riding on us (note to self tow ropes with mist/ice are virtually impossible to use)....and on two of the finally runs for Syd she proclaimed she wanted her own "wheel" (ie tube)....Sometimes I wonder if she actually realizes she is only 2 and not 5 like her brother....but both my kids have some dare devil inside of them (you really won't believe this with Breyden and his whining but its there....buried inside of him)....So Syd and I went down each in our own tube....me hanging on to her to make sure nothing happened to her....and she loved it...and finally the little lady came out in her...she wanted to go into the chalet...I didnt blame her she climbed up the hill 4 times in a row...and its a pretty big hill....So her and daddy went in...as Daddy's knee was killing him...Breyden and I decided to give the bigger hill a couple runs since he is old and tall enough to go down it....he had a blast....loved going down it....the only thing that he complained about was the walk up...note lesson from earlier tow rope with that days weather.... virtually impossible to use!....after a couple runs with Breyden...Daddy decided to come out and do a couple with him...so we switched and let the boys have their fun....after a little bit I finally convinced Syd to go back out....where we made our last runs as she was done....all in all it was a great afternoon and family activity...one that we will definitely do again!
